Dublin Weather Forecast – Wet, Windy and Unsettled

Weather for Dublin – Week of 19th to 23rd August 2024

Monday, 19th August:

Expect a wet and windy day. While it will start off dry, rain will move in from the west during the morning, accompanied by strengthening south to southeast winds, which may become fresh to strong and gusty at times, with gales developing along coastal areas. There’s a chance of heavy or thundery downpours and possible coastal flooding. However, drier and brighter conditions will spread from the southwest later, and winds will shift to a westerly direction, moderating in strength. Highs of 19 to 20 degrees.

Tuesday, 20th August:

A breezy day with a mix of sunshine and scattered showers, some of which could be heavy with a possibility of isolated thunderstorms. The showers will become more isolated by the evening. Expect high temperatures of 16 to 17 degrees with moderate to fresh and gusty westerly winds.

Wednesday, 21st August:

Mostly cloudy with widespread rain and drizzle from the morning onwards but should become more dry in the afternoon. Southerly winds will pick up throughout the day, becoming breezy or windy by evening, particularly along Atlantic coasts where winds may become strong or very strong. Highs of 16 or17 degrees.

Thursday, 22nd August:

Overnight rain and strong winds will clear from the east early in the morning, giving way to largely dry conditions with sunny spells and a few scattered showers. Later in the evening, showery rain may return to Atlantic coastal areas. Highs of 16 to 20 degrees in mostly moderate west or southwest winds.

Friday, 23rd August:

Details are uncertain, but there may be a spell of heavy rain in the morning, followed by blustery showers. Highs of 14 to 18 degrees.
