Well we have just had the mens football final and now it’s the turn of the ladies as the All Ireland Ladies Football Final takes place this Sunday the 4th August at 4.15pm in Croke Park. If you have not seen Gaelic Football played before then this is a great opportunity to see a major final, as tickets are still available.
2024 marks a momentous year for the Ladies Gaelic Football Association as they celebrate their 50th anniversary. TG4 is encouraging a massive turnout to support the teams.
Kerry have won the championship 11 times but it has been a while (1993) since their last win. Having been runners up for the last 2 years, the Kerry ladies will be extra motivated to get over the line this year. Galway have won it once, in 2004 and although underdogs for the final, will be keen to bring the title back to the West. This is the first time the two sides have met in the final, and the Kerry ladies have won the last four most recent encounters.
The final promises something for everyone, with a lovely family atmosphere, prizes, and much more. The day will feature six exceptional teams. Get to Croke Park on Sunday to witness the best in Ladies football.
