Dublin City Council’s Patsy Gorman, Senior Executive Engineer, and Cristian Neagu, Executive Engineer, will present a wide-ranging exploration of Dublin’s bridges, from icons such as the Ha’Penny Bridge to suburban bridges over the Dodder. Discover the rich history behind these structures, learn about their current maintenance, and explore future developments.

This event is organised in conjunction with the Bridges of Dublin exhibition at the Substation. This exciting new exhibition, a collaboration between artist Fergal McCarthy, the Little Museum of Dublin and Dublin Port Company, features a jumbo version of Fergal’s illustrated portrait of the Liffey and its bridges, from Islandbridge to Dublin Port. Open Thursday to Sunday, 11am to 3pm, until 17 November 2024.
