The National University of Ireland is a federal university based in 49 Merrion Square, which is an historic Georgian building. We would love to welcome visitors to our offices, which are a fascinating juxtaposition of a contemporary workplace with Georgian architecture, centuries-old wall murals, a portrait gallery, and historic artefacts such as Éamon de Valera’s Chancellor robe and his Senate chair. We also hope to display some archival documents of interest and some of our past NCAD graduate purchase prize winners.
Is ollscoil chónaidhmeach í OÉ atá lonnaithe i bhfoirgneamh stairiúil Seoirseach ag 49 Cearnóg Mhuirfean. Ba bhreá linn fáilte a chur roimh cuairteoirí chuig ár n-oifig, áit a bhfuil an t-ionad oibre comhaimseartha ceangailte fite fuaite leis an ailtireacht Sheoirseach, múrmhaisithe atá na céadta bliain d’aois, dánlann portráidí agus iarsmaí stairiúla ar nós róba searmanas agus cathaoir Seanaid Éamon de Valera. Tá súil againn roinnt cáipéisí cartlainne spéisiúla agus saothair de chuid bhuaiteoirí Ghradam Ceannacháin NCAD a chur faoi bhráid an phobail.
As it is a listed Georgian building, some wishing to attend who have specific accessibility requirements will not be able to access the older portion of the house. We will endeavour to work with anyone who wishes to attend to see if we can assist or accommodate their requirements.
Ní bheifear in ann riachtanais rochtana ar leith a chur ar fáil do chách chun seanchuid an fhoirnimh a fheiceáil de bharr gur foirgneamh liostáilte Seoirseach é. Déanfaimid gach iarracht cabhrú le haon duine gur mhian leo freastal ar an oíche agus feicfimid an bhfuil bealach ar bith a bhfeadfaimis cabhair a chur ar fáil nó teacht ar réiteach.
